My Favorite Barbeque Sauce

Contributed by: Melinda

This is our favorite bbq sauce. Frank loves it on broccoli, so sometimes I fix it without the barbeque.

Equal parts Worcestershire sauce and cider vinegar
For every two cups liquid, add:
2 tbl brown sugar
2 tbl fresh lemon juice
Lots of freshly ground black pepper
2 or more garlic cloves, minced
ground allspice to taste (I use about 3/4-1 tsp for 2 cups liquid)
  • Combine in a saucepan and bring to a simmer
  • Simmer for about 20 minutes or until slightly reduced

This is a very thin sauce and is ideal for dipping
