Fresh Berries with Yogurt Sauce





2 lbs fresh strawberries, cleaned, de-stemed and quartered
1 lb fresh blackberries, cleaned
2 bananas (optional)
Zest of one lime
Juice of two limes
2 tbl + 2 tsp fructose (you can use granulated sugar)
2 cups plain lowfat yogurt
Mashed raspberries, (you can use jam and peaches or plums work too)
  • Place berries into a large bowl with 2 tablespoons of fructose - refrigerate until serving
  • In a small bowl combine lime juice and 2 tsp fructose - set aside
  • In another bowl combine yogurt and mashed raspberries with lime zest and 1 tsp lime juice/fructose mixture - refrigerate
  • Just before serving slice bananas into the berry mixture and add remaining lime juice/fructose mixture
  • Serve with yogurt on the side as a topping
