What to do with fruit from those heavy producers? This is great at Christmas time.

Fresh Fruit
Sugar
Brandy
  • Clean and prepare fruit
  • Place in a clean glass jar
  • Pour in about 1/2 cup sugar per pound of fruit
  • Pour Brandy to fill
  • Weight fruit down with a small plate
  • Cover and let stand for about 4 weeks
  • Serve fruit over ice cream, and fruit flavored brandy as an aperitif
