What to do with fruit from those heavy producers? This is great at Christmas time.
Fresh Fruit
Sugar
Brandy
- Clean and prepare fruit
- Place in a clean glass jar
- Pour in about 1/2 cup sugar per pound of fruit
- Pour Brandy to fill
- Weight fruit down with a small plate
- Cover and let stand for about 4 weeks
- Serve fruit over ice cream, and fruit flavored brandy as an aperitif
