Cabbage Rolls

12 large Cabbafge leaves
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup minced onion or shallots
1/2 teas Saltð & Pepper
1 lb ðground beef
1 cup cooked rice
1 can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teas Worcestershire sauce
  • Immerse Cabbage leaves in large kettle of boiling water for about 3 minutes, until limp, drain
  • Combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, beef and cooked rice.
  • Place 1/2 cup meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf.ð
  • Fold in sides and roll ends over meat.
  • Place in 9x13æ baking dish
  • Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.ð
  • Pour over Cabbage rolls.ð
  • Cover and cook 275 degrees all day
