Fruit Salad

Contributed by: Melinda

I'm not a big fan of the any-fruit-you-can-buy style of fruit salad. I like mine to have a little more thought than this. I just don't enjoy certain fruits mixed together. I also don't want any heavy dressing on my fruit salad. It should be slightly sweetened, and maybe a little citrus or mango juice over the top, but that's my taste.

Fruit Combo One
Sliced Fresh Peaches, Nectarines, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Plums, Mango, Apricots
Fruit Combo Two
Cantaloupe, Honey Dew, Grapes, Figs, Pears
Fruit Combo Three
Grapefruit, Orange, Blood Orange, Pineapple, Mango, Kiwi, Raspberries
Sauces
1 tsp sugar per 1 - 1 1/2 cup of fruit
1/4 - 1/2 cup or to taste juice of Mango or Pineapple or Citrus
Pinch salt
  • Cut fruit into similar bite-sized pieces or slices
  • Combine in a mixing bowl
  • Mix sauce ingredients and drizzle over top of fruit
  • Chill for several hours
  • Remove from refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving
