Quickest Lamb Burgers

Ok, so sometimes I am just too tired to really feel much like cooking. Since lamb is one of our favorite foods, I usually have some of a variety of types in the freezer. It thaws quickly enough. If you can't find ground lamb, you can make your own from lamb stew meat (boneless, of course) or leg which would be leaner.

1 lb ground lamb
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 tsp kosher salt
Fresh ground black pepper
1-2 tbl worcestershire sauce
  • Very gently combine all ingredients until well mixed
  • Form into 4 thin patties and place into a nonstick skillet
  • Heat over medium heat until they begin to sizzle
  • Check for browning on first side. When medium brown, turn and continue browning on reverse side
  • Reduce heat to medium low and cook until juices appear on surface and are no longer red

Serve with a simple green salad or green vegetable.
