Home Made Combination Pizza

Contributed by: Melinda

This is totally flexible - just remember, it only takes a tiny amount of each ingredient to fill your pizza. If you make it too topping-heavy, it won't come out right.

1 recipe Basic Pizza Dough
1 recipe Basic Pizza Sauce (this will be slightly more than you need)
3/4 lb of shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup pepperoni slices
1/4 cup cooked italian sausage
1/4 cup proscuitto
1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup grated romano or parmesan cheese
Olive Oil (optional)
Chopped fresh garlic and green onion (optional)
  • Preheat oven to 450-500 degrees with pizza stone inside
  • Roll out pizza dough to approximately 12 inches (basic recipe makes two 12 inch rounds)
  • If desired, brush the entire surface with olive oil
  • Spoon a thin layer of pizza sauce over the top, leaving about 1/2 inch at edges
  • Spread half the shredded Mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce
  • Place half the meats and vegetables over the cheese and sprinkle with additional chopped garlic and green onion (optional)
  • Sprinkle half the grated cheese over the top
  • Using a pizza peel, place on baking stone and bake for 10-20 minutes, until edges are golden brown
  • Remove from oven and let sit about 3-5 minutes before slicing
  • Repeat for second pizza with remaining ingredients

Variations on this pizza are limited only by your imagination and taste.
