Contributed by: Melinda

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
  • Combine flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well.
  • Add oats, raisins and nuts and mix well.
  • Drop rounded teaspoon on ungreased sheet.
  • Bake 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown.

Raisins and nuts may be omitted in favor of any other tidbit - or nothing at all. Great cookies.
