Roast Turkey, Dressed

12-15lb Turkey
2 pkg. sour dough bread cubes
4 Tablespoons poultry seasoning
1-2 chopped onions
4-5 stalks celery
Turkey Giblets and meat from neck Chopped cooked in water (reserve broth)
1 cube Butter
    Turkey
  • Wash and salt inside of Turkey
  • Stuff with dressing (see below)
  • Close turkey with string and place in large roaster
  • Baste top with melted butter and cover loosely with foil
  • Bake according to directions for weight of turkey
  • Baste often with melted butter
    Dressing
  • Combine bread cubes, poultry seasoning, onion, celery, neck meat, giblets
  • Stuff full, but loosely packed into cavity of turkey
  • Moisten remaining mixture with broth from cooking giblets and neck
  • Bake in separate casserole at 350 for 1 hour
