Fresh Berries with Yogurt Sauce

What you need

  1. 2 lbs fresh strawberries, cleaned, de-stemed and quartered
  2. 1 lb fresh blackberries, cleaned
  3. 2 bananas (optional)
  4. Zest of one lime
  5. Juice of two limes
  6. 2 tbl + 2 tsp fructose (you can use granulated sugar)
  7. 2 cups plain lowfat yogurt
  8. Mashed raspberries, (you can use jam and peaches or plums work too)

How to make it

  1. Place berries into a large bowl with 2 tablespoons of fructose - refrigerate until serving
  2. In a small bowl combine lime juice and 2 tsp fructose - set aside
  3. In another bowl combine yogurt and mashed raspberries with lime zest and 1 tsp lime juice/fructose mixture - refrigerate
  4. Just before serving slice bananas into the berry mixture and add remaining lime juice/fructose mixture
  5. Serve with yogurt on the side as a topping
