Coconut Hydration

The older we get, the more we seem to need to hydrate. Since I don't like to buy anything processed if I can help it, instead of popular hydration beverages, we have been drinking these and feel great!

What you need

  1. 1 large ripe banana, peeled and broken into pieces
  2. 1 can light coconut milk
  3. Juice of 1 orange (valencia orange juice has an elegant flavor)
  4. Juice of 1/2 lemon (1.5 - 2 T)
  5. handful of strawberries or other berries (optional)
  6. 1 tsp sea salt (as unprocessed as you can get)
  7. 1 cup purified water (purified if available)
  8. 1/4 tsp pure stevia powder

How to make it

  1. Pour lemon and orange juice into a large blender
  2. Add banana and berries
  3. Pour in coconut milk including any solids
  4. Add water and blend until smooth
  5. Taste and add 1/2 the stevia powder
  6. Blend again and taste again - add remaining stevia powder, pour into a pitcher and chill

Stir before serving over ice
