Fresh Whipped Cream

When you buy heavy cream, be sure to check the ingredients. Many supermarket and major brands add stabilizers to the cream. They are not needed to make perfect whipped cream. Ingredients should be only cream.

What you need

  1. 1 cup heavy whipping cream with no stabilizers
  2. 1 tablespoon agave syrup or other sweetener of choice (if using sugar, you'll get best results with powdered sugar)
  3. 1/8 tsp ground vanilla or 1 tsp vanilla extract

How to make it

  1. Pour cold cream into a mixing bowl
  2. Using a balloon whisk, whip until it begins to thicken and leave trails
  3. Add vanilla and agave and whisk until it is thickened to your taste
  4. Don't over whip or you'll have butter!
