Marinated Strawberries with Mint

What you need

  1. 4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  2. 1 tbl granulated sugar
  3. 2 tbl Grand Marnier or Chambord or other fruit liqueur
  4. pinch salt
  5. 2 tbl chopped fresh mint leaves

How to make it

  1. Place strawberries in a bowl with sugar and liqueur
  2. Stir to combine well and refrigerate at least 2 hours, stirring a couple of times
  3. When ready to serve, chop mint leaves and add to the strawberries
  4. Serve in small bowls with some of the syrup from the bottom of the bowl

This is a nice dessert accompanied by a cordial glass of the liqueur used in the recipe or with a nice sparkling wine.
