Orange Hydration
Contributed by: Melinda
The older we get, the more we seem to need to hydrate. Since I don't like to buy anything processed if I can help it, instead of popular hydration beverages, we have been drinking these and feel great!
What you need
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (Valencias have great flavor)
- 1/3 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (as unprocessed as you can get)
- 4 cups purified water*
- 2 T agave syrup or to taste
How to make it
- *For easy purified water, boil 1 liter of tap water for 5 minutes then allow to cool
- In a pitcher, stir orange juice, lemon juice and salt until salt is dissolved
- Add water and stir
- Taste and add agave - if you aren't sure how much, add 1 T first, then stir to dissolve and taste again
- Cover and chill - stir before serving
