Orange Hydration

Contributed by: Melinda

The older we get, the more we seem to need to hydrate. Since I don't like to buy anything processed if I can help it, instead of popular hydration beverages, we have been drinking these and feel great!

What you need

  1. 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (Valencias have great flavor)
  2. 1/3 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
  3. 1/4 tsp sea salt (as unprocessed as you can get)
  4. 4 cups purified water*
  5. 2 T agave syrup or to taste

How to make it

  1. *For easy purified water, boil 1 liter of tap water for 5 minutes then allow to cool
  2. In a pitcher, stir orange juice, lemon juice and salt until salt is dissolved
  3. Add water and stir
  4. Taste and add agave - if you aren't sure how much, add 1 T first, then stir to dissolve and taste again
  5. Cover and chill - stir before serving
