Scottish Shortbread

Scots use powdered - granulated will taste a little different - good with either powdered or granulated
What you need
- 2 cubes butter (Don't use margarine)
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar or 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teas vanilla
How to make it
- Combine flour and sugar together.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Form mixture into a ball and knead until smooth.
- Press
into square baking dish, 8x8inches.
- With fingers press until edges form a crust (lip) on edge and then press with the tines of a ford making a
lined crust.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 min.Until crust is browned a golden brown.
- Cool and cut into squares Or rectangles.
