Warm Blue Cheese Dip

Something Ryan and Kathy discovered while living in Sacramento.

What you need

  1. 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
  2. 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
  3. 1/4 - 1/2 cup cream
  4. 1-2 garlic cloves
  5. 4 green onions, chopped
  6. 2 strips bacon, fried crisp and chopped
  7. Black Pepper

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Soften cream cheese - bring to room temperature or place in microwave on defrost for 30-45 seconds
  3. Slice 1 clove of garlic in half and peel. Rub peeled side all over inside a small baking dish
  4. Mince remaining garlic
  5. In the baking dish, combine cream cheese, blue cheese, green onions and minced garlic
  6. Add about 1/4 cup cream and stir
  7. Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes
  8. Remove and stir making sure blue cheese is melted and incorporated - more cream may be added to thin
  9. Stir in chopped bacon and black pepper
  10. Serve with sliced baguette or crackers
