Warm Blue Cheese Dip
Something Ryan and Kathy discovered while living in Sacramento.
What you need
- 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
- 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup cream
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 2 strips bacon, fried crisp and chopped
- Black Pepper
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350º
- Soften cream cheese - bring to room temperature or place in
microwave on defrost for 30-45 seconds
- Slice 1 clove of garlic in half and peel. Rub peeled side all
over inside a small baking dish
- Mince remaining garlic
- In the baking dish, combine cream cheese, blue cheese, green
onions and minced garlic
- Add about 1/4 cup cream and stir
- Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes
- Remove and stir making sure blue cheese is melted and
incorporated - more cream may be added to thin
- Stir in chopped bacon and black pepper
- Serve with sliced baguette or crackers
