Cabbage Rolls

What you need

  1. 12 large Cabbage leaves
  2. 1 beaten egg
  3. 1/2 cup milk
  4. 1/2 cup minced onion or shallots
  5. 1/2 teas Salt & Pepper
  6. 1 lb ground beef
  7. 1 cup cooked rice
  8. 1 can tomato sauce
  9. 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  10. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  11. 1 teas Worcestershire sauce

How to make it

  1. Immerse Cabbage leaves in large kettle of boiling water for about 3 minutes, until limp, drain
  2. Combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, beef and cooked rice.
  3. Place 1/2 cup meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf.
  4. Fold in sides and roll ends over meat.
  5. Place in 9x13 baking dish
  6. Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Pour over Cabbage rolls.
  8. Cover and cook 275 degrees all day
