Chili con Carne

What you need

  1. 1 lb (2 cups dry) Aduki beans, soaked and cooked until semi-soft or as desired
  2. 1 lb. ground lamb or beef (optional*)
  3. 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatos
  4. 1 large onion, chopped
  5. 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  6. 2-3 T Grandma's Chili Powder
  7. 1 T whole cumin seed
  8. 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  9. 2 - 4 Jalapeno peppers, chopped
  10. Salt to taste

How to make it

  1. Saute meat, onion, garlic, chili powder and cumin seed.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until all is flavorful and the beans are very tender.

Serve with Tabasco Sauce (yes, even with jalapeno - the flavor is terrific) You can substitute a green bell pepper if you don't want to use the Jalapeno's.
