Crab Spread
This is good with fresh crabmeat. Equally so with canned, provided you like the flavor of the canned product. Good with crackers, bread or as a vegetable dip.
What you need
- Approximately 6-7 ounces (2/3 cup) of lump crabmeat, fresh or canned
- 1 Tablespoon minced red onion
- 2 Tablespoons very finely diced red bell pepper
- 1-2 Tablespoons very finely diced celery
- 1 Tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 or more Tablespoons greek yogurt or light sour cream, enough to create a spread consistency
- 1/4 tsp cayenne or more to taste
- Whether or not this needs salt depends on all the ingredients, so mix it up, then taste before adding any
How to make it
- Break up crab meat in a small mixing bowl
- Add everything but salt and mix well
- Add additional yogurt if needed for texture
- Taste and add salt if needed
