Basic Pizza Dough

This recipe is for a bread maker.

To bake the pizza, use a baking stone preheated in the oven at 450 to 500 degrees. Top pizza as desired - maybe try the Turkish Pizza. Place pizza on preheated stone with a pizza peel.

What you need

  1. 1 cup water or flat beer
  2. 1 tbl Olive Oil
  3. 1-2 tbl Sugar
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. 2 1/2 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
  6. 1 tsp bread machine or rapid rise yeast

How to make it

  1. Place all ingredients in bread maker in recommended order and select dough setting.
  2. When dough is finished, remove from pan, spread into two 12 inch rounds pressing toward the edge to create a small lip
  3. Brush with olive oil, cover with a tea towel and let stand for about 15 minutes
  4. Top as desired and bake at 450-500 degrees for 10 minutes or in a pizza pan at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes until crust is golden brown
